The ProcureVue™ team enjoyed participating in the recent ProcureCon Connect event at the Novotel Hotel in Amsterdam. Andy Symmonds, Managing Partner of our EMEA business unit, and Russ Gimson, Senior VP of Customer Engagement, joined senior procurement leaders for two days of presentations and discussions.

We enjoyed engaging with everyone on many topics during the event around current and future issues we are all facing in the business world. A series of common themes resonated with the audience of CPOs and Heads of Procurement. Presentations and discussions covered how Procurement can:

  • Create value
  • Drive innovation
  • Manage risk and uncertainty
  • Future-proof supply chains

 

The lack of clean data was highlighted by many as an issue, especially as it relates to indirect spend, and we had some very constructive discussions with companies with concerns in this area. We also spoke extensively about Artificial Intelligence's role in our businesses and where it can best augment our efforts.

We are now looking to meet friends again and make new ones at the ProcureCon event in Barcelona at the end of September.
